IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,393,880.00 FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE 2.6 mgd MALLY WAGNON LIFT STATION AND 16-INCH FORCE MAIN, WSIP SUBPROJECT EL-1; AND APPROVING A 8% CONTINGENCY IN THE AMOUNT OF $110,000.00. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves a Construction Contract with Garney Companies, Inc. in the amount of $1,393,880.00 for the replacement of the 2.6 mgd Mally Wagnon Lift Station and 16-inch force main, WSIP Subproject EL-1. A copy of the contract, `" marked Exhibit"A," is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 2. CONSTRUCTION DIVISION 3 CONCRETE DIVISION 5 METALS - I DIVISION 9 FINISHES SECTION 09961 —EXTERIOR COATINGS (continued) 1.5 OUALITY ASSURANCE A. Manufacturer's Qualifications: 1. Specialize in manufacture of coatings with a minimum of 10 years successful experience. 2. Able to demonstrate successful performance on comparable projects. B. Applicator's Qualifications: 1. Experienced in application of specified coatings for a minimum of 5 years on projects of similar size and complexity to this Work. C. Pre-Installation Conference: Prior to beginning exterior coating operations, a meeting will be held with Contractor,coating sub-contractor,Engineer,Owner's representative, and coating manufacturer's representative to verify and review the following: 1. Project requirements for coating as set out in Contract Documents. 2. Manufacturer's product data including application instructions. 3. Substrate conditions and procedures for substrate preparation and coating installation.Applicator shall be familiar with the overall condition of structures to be coated prior to the conference. D. Technical Consultation: The coating manufacturer's representative shall provide technical consultation on coating application. 1.7 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING A. Delivery: Deliver materials to site in manufacturer's original,unopened containers and packaging, with labels clearly identifying: 1. Coating or material name. 2. Manufacturer. 3. Color name and number. 4. Batch or lot number. 5. Date of manufacture. 6. Mixing and thinning instructions. B. Storage: 1. Store materials in a clean dry area away from open flame, heat, and strong oxidants. Store materials within temperature range as recommended by manufacturer. • 2. Keep containers sealed until ready for use. 3. Do not use materials beyond manufacturer's shelf life limits. C. Handling: Protect materials during handling and application to prevent damage or contamination. Handle materials according to their material safety data sheets. 09961-Exterior Coatings 09961-2 Garver Project No.0605-1300(1) DIVISION 15 MECHANICAL DIVISION 16 ELECTRICAL SECTION 16120 - WIRES AND CABLES (continued) Q. For high-temperature fixture connections for fixtures rated 300 volts and below, provide Type AF indoors and Type XF in any location not smaller than No. 12 AWG. R. For Class 1 (120-volt control) remote control and signal circuits provide single or multiple conductor cable. For single conductor cable, provide 600 volt, Type THWN/THHN conductors. For multiple conductor cable, provide UL listed Type TC 600V 90°C cable with ethylene propylene/chlorinated polyethylene composite insulation on the single conductors and chlorinated polyethylene overall jacket. Furnish individual conductors not smaller than No. 14 AWG. S. For Class 2 (instrumentation) remote control and signal circuit provide single or multiple conductor cable. Furnish UL listed Type TC 600V 90°C single or multiple twisted pair or twisted triad cable with PVC insulation on the single conductors; with double faced aluminum/synthetic polymer backed 100% coverage overlapped shield and stranded tinned copper drain wire for each pair or triad; with overall PVC jacket. Furnish conductors not smaller than No. 16 AWG. 2.3 CONNECTORS FOR CONDUCTOR A. Provide UL-listed factory-fabricated, 75°C AL/CU solderless metal connectors of sizes, ampacity ratings, materials, types and classes for applications and for services indicated. Use connectors with temperature ratings equal to or greater than those of the wires upon which used. 2.4 MINI POWER CENTER(TRANSFORMER/PANELBOARD COMBINATION) A. Provide a complete transformer/panelboard combination panel. Transformer shall be copper wound, 115°C rise, and epoxy-resin encapsulated. The panel section shall utilize copper bus and bolt on circuit breakers. The combination panel shall be furnished with factory installed primary and secondary main circuit breakers. Populate panelboard with quantity of circuit breakers as required by load plus 6 additional spare circuits. • PART 3-EXECUTION 3.1 WIRING METHOD A. Use the following wiring methods as indicated: 1. Wire: Install all wire in raceway. 2. For all underground or underfloor feeders: Install Service Entrance Conductor Type "RHH/RHW/USE." B. All conductors shall be continuous from origin to panel or equipment termination without splices. Where splices and taps are indicated in the drawings, they shall be made in splice boxes. 16120-Wires and Cables 16120-5 Garver Project No.0605-1300(1) SECTION 16195 - ELECTRICAL IDENTIFICATION (continued) with explicit description and identification of items controlled by each individual breaker. K. Install labels at locations indicated and at locations for best convenience of viewing without interference with operation and maintenance of equipment. 3.2 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT—The items of this section will not be measured for separate payment but will be subsidiary to the lump price bid for the associated item. The Contractor shall install an approved system and follow the manufacturer's written installation instructions. The TVSS shall be installed and connected to minimize lead lengths. The installation shall comply with NEC Article 285 "Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors: TVSSs". Power system TVSS shall be provided with a disconnecting means capable of disconnecting the TVSS from the power system without interrupting the electric service. 3. All TVSS equipment shall be UL 1449 SECOND EDITION LISTED and tested to the industry standards, ANSI/IEEE C62.41-1991, C62.45-1992. The TVSS system shall have a configuration similar to the following with adequate surge suppression characteristics. C. Medium Exposure Level Protection: Provide a TVSS on the service entrance switchboards and main distribution panelboard as shown in the plans. Provide a TVSS of adequate size and type for electric service entrance protection. The TVSS shall be UL 1449 Second Edition listed, have a display counter, have pilot lights indicating operational and trouble conditions,and have dry contacts to indicate alarm status.The TVSS shall have the following characteristics: Application 277/480 V rms, 3 Phase, Wye,4 Wire+Ground, Enclosure NEMA 4X Stainless Steel Metal Enclosure or Composite Enclosure with Integral Fused Disconnect Wire #2 AWG Minimum Maximum Continuous 320 V rms Line-Neutral Operating Voltage MCOV 640 V rms Line-Line • Input Power Frequency 60 Hz Peak Surge Current 150,000 Amperes Per Mode, (8x20 ps Waveform, Single Impulse) Life Cycle Test 1,000 Hits Minimum at CAT.
