A RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE'S INTENT TO ENACT ROAD IMPACT FEES
WHEREAS, the citizens of Fayetteville need substantial additional funds to improve
and construct major roads to handle the increasing traffic caused by the City's new development
and increasing population; and
WHEREAS, our existing citizens have already taxed themselves to provide as much
financial help to meet these increasing needs through sales taxes as possible; and
WHEREAS, it is only fair that those who move to Fayetteville to take advantage of our
economic vitality, our many amenities and our existing transportation network should pay their
fair share of the costs to prevent further or increased congestion on our roads; and
WHEREAS, the previous road impact fee ordinance can be modified so that it will
provide substantial revenue for the construction of new and larger thoroughfares while ensuring
that the new development paying this impact fee will not be adversely affected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS•
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby expresses
