That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby approves Amendment No. 1 to the Basic Agreement with McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc. approving a one-year extension to provide airport engineering services. SMITH, City Clerk/Treasurer AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FAYETTEVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT STATE OF ARKANSAS COUNTY OF WASHINGTON The basic agreement entitled CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES, is hereby amended. The referenced basic agreement pertains to proposed improvements to Fayetteville Municipal Airport, Drake Field. This Amendment entered into and executed on the date indicated beneath the signature blocks, by and between the City of Fayetteville and McClelland Consulting Engineers (ENGINEER) extends the duration of the contract for the second of a possible three years, as allowed in the first paragraph on page 1 of the basic agreement. This action is taken to allow the ENGINEER to undertake design and construction administration services beyond contract expiration date of June 6, 2007. As a result, the amended contract expiration date becomes June 6, 2008. SECTION I - PROJECT DESCRIPTION The types of projects to be undertaken by the ENGINEER during this extended period include the type of projects listed in Section II of the Basic Agreement and any additional services related to the Fayetteville Municipal Airport as may be included by the City of Fayetteville. Boudreaux, Direc May 3, 2007 Amendment #1 to Basic Agreem t w/ McClelland Consulting Engineers Recommendation: Airport Staff recommends approval of Amendment #1 -to the Basic Agreement with McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc. Background: An Agreement for Airport engineering services provided by McClelland Consulting Engineers Inc. was approved as Resolution No. 97-06 by the City Council June 6, 2006. The Agreenient is for three one-year periods with each one-year period subject to approval by the City of rayetteville. Discussion: McClelland Consulting Engineers Inc. has been providing Engineenng services to the Airport through vanous contracts and task orders for several decades. While other engineering companies have been employed from time to time over the years, McClelland has easily provided the bulk of the design and engineering work for the Airport. Thus, the company has access to an abundant store of records, knowledge, and experience which serves to enhance their performance on current and future projects. The Airport Administration has found the company to be professional, diligent, and responsive to the Airport's needs. Our association with the firm continues to be an asset to the Airport and the Citizens of Fayetteville. Budget Considerations: None at this time. Specific work items are composed as Task Orders and submitted to the City Council individually for approval.
