A RESOLUTION AWARDING BID #06-35 AND
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) TOOLCAT
UTILITY WORK MACHINE FROM WILLIAMS TRACTOR
COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $33,242.00 FOR USE BY
THE PARKS & RECREATION DIVISION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby
awards Bid #06-35 and approves the purchase of one (1) Toolcat Utility Work Machine
from Williams Tractor Company in the amount of $33,242.00 for use by the Parks &

Subject: Purchase of one Bobcat Toolcat for Parks Division
RECOMMENDATION: That City Council approve the purchase of one New Holland Bobcat
Toolcat (Utility Work Machine) for use by Parks Division.
BACKGROUND: Bid #06-35 was opened on April 18, 2006. One bid response was received
The lowest bid of $33,241.94 from Williams Tractor Co of Fayetteville meets all specifications.
The Bobcat Toolcat is the only machine of its kind on the market today. Transportation Division
has been using one for two years with good success and Parks staff has determined a need for.
a unit of this type to accomplish several tasks within their Division.
This Toolcat will replace unit 552, a 1995 Ford Utility Tractor that is no longer dependable for
daily use and not nearly as job productive as the Toolcat.
recommend acceptance of the bid from Williams Tractor in the amount of $33,241.94. Funds
are available for this purchase in Fleet Replacement Project 02083 — Tractor/Mowers.
The purchase of this unit was approved by the Equipment Committee on April 25"', 2006.
