Subject: A Resolution to approve an Agreement with SWEPCO-AR in the amount
of $69,114.17 for Electric Utility Line Relocation as Part of the Van Asche
Drive Extension Project
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of an agreement with SWEPCO-AR to relocate an existing
underground electric line. The cost of the relocation is $69,114.17.
BACKGROUND:
SWEPCO is the owner of an existing underground electric line that crosses the proposed
alignment of Van Asche Drive. This line is in conflict with the proposed bridge over
Scull Creek.
DISCUSSION:
SWEPCO has proposed to relocate the line to the west so that the line is no longer in
conflict with the bridge, at a cost of $69,114.17. SWEPCO will provide all labor,
equipment and materials required to relocate the line.
BUDGET IMPACT:
This payment will be made from funds in the Van Asche Drive Extension Project (Project
No. 05027). The budget adjustment approved at the September 19, 2006 Council meeting
includes funding for this item.
