RESOLUTION NO. 136-06 mal A RESOLUTION AMENDING CITY PLAN 2025 TO BETTER ADDRESS ATTAINABLE HOUSING POLICY AND GOALS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby amends City Plan 2025 as set forth in Exhibits "A," "B," and "C," attached hereto and made a part hereof. Date: July 25, 2006 Subject: City Plan 2025Attainable Housing Amendment RECOMMENDATION Planning Staff recommends approval of a resolution to amend City Plan 2025 to include additional text under housing concerns, creating attainable housing as a sixth goal and related policy benchmarks. BACKGROUND City Council adopted City Plan 2025 as a policy document and General Plan and an interim Future Land Use map on July 17, 2006. City Plan 2025 was adopted with an amendment that added creating attainable housing as a sixth goal with appropriate objectives and benchmarks. DISCUSSION The text proposed for insertion includes: 1) Additional text to be added to housing concerns in Section 4.7; 2) An additional goal with accompanying objectives to be added to Chapter 10 after Goal 5; 3) Two policy benchmarks to be added to Chapter 10.
