THE PURCHASE OF READY -MIX CONCRETE FROM BEAVER
LAKE CONCRETE IN THE AMOUNT OF $350,000.00 TO BE
USED BY VARIOUS DIVISIONS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas
hereby awards bid #05-09 and approving the purchase of ready -mix concrete
from Beaver Lake Concrete in the amount of $350,000.00 to be used by various
divisions of the City of Fayetteville.
PASSED and APPROVED this 15th day of March 2005.

Subject: A resolution approving Bid 05-09 for the purchase of ready -mix concrete
to be utilized by various divisions of the City of Fayetteville.
Recommendation: Transportation Division staff recommends a resolution approving Bid
05-09 for the purchase of ready -mix concrete in the amount of Three Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00).
Background: The purchase of ready -mix concrete is necessary to maintain current
infrastructure and implement the capital improvements projects outlined in the annual
2005 Budget & Work Program.
Discussion: Sealed formal bids for ready -mix concrete were publicly read and the results
are attached to this memo. Staff recommends awarding the concrete bid to Beaver Lake
Concrete.
Budget Impact: Funds needed for the acquisition of these materials have been budgeted
city-wide and sufficient funds are available for the 2005 purchases.
