A RESOLUTION TO RECOGNIZE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
OF THE FAYETTEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL BULLDOG BAND
AND PROCLAIM THE FAYETTEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
BULLDOG BAND TO BE OFFICIAL AMBASSADORS OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS TO THE TOURNAMENT
OF ROSES PARADE IN PASADENA, CALIFORNIA IN 2006
WHEREAS the Fayetteville Arkansas High School Bulldog Band has been invited to
participate in the Tournament of Roses Parade on January 2, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the invitation is the first ever for a Northwest Arkansas high school band,
and only the second Arkansas High School in the 117 year history of the Tournament of Roses
Parade; and
WHEREAS, the event is viewed by millions of people in the United States and around
the world, and is considered the most prestigious parade in the world; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Libby Evans Wright, president of the Tournament of Roses Parade,
will be in Fayetteville for a special celebration on September 20, 2005 and to officially extend the
invitation to the Fayetteville High School Bulldog Band; and
WHEREAS, Governor Mike Huckabee has proclaimed September 20, 2005 to be
Tournament of Roses Day in Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Fayetteville, Arkansas take great pride in recognizing the
accomplishments of the Fayetteville High School Bulldog Band.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby recognizes
the accomplishments of the Fayetteville High School Bulldog Band in that they have been invited
to march in the Tournament of Roses Parade on January 2, 2006.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby proclaims
the Fayetteville High School Bulldog Band to be official ambassadors of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas to the Tournament Of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California in January, 2006.
PASSED and APPROVED this 2nd day of August, 2005.

A RESOLUTION '10 RECOGNIZE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS
OF THE FAYETTEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL BULLDOG BAND
AND PROCLAIM THE FAYETTEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
