Background: The council recently passed a new ordinance governing taxi and limousine companies in Fayetteville. There have been meetings with city staff, the police department and the fleet division to deterniinc the procedure that will be used to implement the new ordinance. All current Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity will expire on December 31, 2004. Discussion: Attached is a copy of Mr. Curry's application for his certificate, a copy of his liability insurance coverage, his financial statement and a copy of the ordinance. Mr. Curry has been operating a limousine service in Fayetteville for 3 years without a certificate. Mr. Curry recently realized he needed a certificate when he read about the new ordinance in the newspaper. 1 -le immediately contacted the police department for an application. • • RESOLUTION NO.
