A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEW MISSION STATEMENT
FOR THE FAYEIIEVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AS
APPROVED AND RECOMMENDED BY THE AIRPORT
ADVISORY BOARD. •
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves a new mission statement
for the Fayetteville Municipal Airport as approved and recommended by the
Airport Advisory Board. A copy of the mission statement, marked Exhibit "A" is
attached hereto, and made a part hereof.
PASSED and APPROVED this 5th day of March, 2002.

FAYETTEVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
2002-2006
MISSION: To serve Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas by
providing access to aviation transportation and educational
programs that contribute to the community and its prosperity.
GOALS:
• Foster partnerships with:
► the business community
► educational institutions
• Capitalize on the assets of the airport
• Ensure fiscal stability of the airport
• Contribute to the economic well-being of the community

Airport Mission Statement
•
Background: As a result of the Strategic Planning sessions held by the Airport Advisory
Board, a new mission statement was developed. At their February 7, 2002 board meeting the
new mission statement was approved.
Purpose: The purpose of this agenda item is to approve or ratify the mission statement as
recommended by the Airport Advisory Board.
Budget Considerations: No impact.
Requested Action: Staff recommends the City Council approve the mission statement as
approved by the Airport Advisory Board.
