A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT DON NELMS AND TOMMY
DEWEESE AS FAYETTEVILLE'S TWO REPRESENTATIVES
ON THE NORTHWEST ARKANSAS REGIONAL AIRPORT
AUTHORITY BOARD
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville is entitled to two representatives on the
Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport Authority Board who serve six year terms and
may be reappointed, and
WHEREAS, the terms of Don Nelms and Tommy Deweese (current
representatives of Fayetteville) will expire on December 31, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Board of the Northwest Arkansas Airport Authority has
requested that both Don Nelms and Tommy Deweese be reappointed; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Dan Coody has reappointed Don Nelms and Tommy
Deweese to new six year terms beginning January 1, 2003, subject to ratification of the
City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby
ratifies the selection and appointment of Mr. Don Nelms and Mr. Tommy Deweese for
an additional term of six years beginning January 1, 2003, as Fayetteville's two
representatives on the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport Authority Board.
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby
expresses its gratitude for the prior service of Mr. Don Nelms and Mr. Tommy Deweese
as Fayetteville's representatives on the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport Authority
Board and its appreciation for their willingness to serve a second term.
PASSED and APPROVED this the 17th day of December, 2002.
