WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing recreational and educational opportunities to Fayetteville's youth; and WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville has long worked with and supported the Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club and the Fayetteville Youth Center and has contractual agreements to fund public recreation at the Boys and Girls Club; and WHEREAS, the new Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club is being developed and constructed in conjunction with the development of adjoining city park land to the mutual benefit of both the Boys and Girls Club, Inc. and the City of Fayetteville; and WHEREAS, it serves the public interest and is beneficial to the City as a whole that the Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club, Inc. provides such youth oriented recreation and education in Fayetteville. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas finds that waiving the building permit fee and all other developmental fees normally required by the Unified Development Ordinance for the Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club, Inc.'s construction of the new Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club serves the public interest and is beneficial to the City as a whole. Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby waives the normal building permit fee and all other developmental fees normally required by the Unified Development Ordinance for the Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club, Inc.'s Res. 18-02 construction of the new Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club located on Rupple Road in Fayetteville, Arkansas during the year 2002.
