RESOLUTION NO. 179-02
A RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 153-02
TO EXEMPT THAT PORTION OF THE 600 FOOT BUFFER
STRIP NORTH OF CLABBER CREEK LYING WEST OF
DEANE SOLOMON ROAD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fayetteville adopted the
recommendation of the Wilson Springs Business Park Assessment Task Force by Resolution
No. 153-02 on October 2, 2002; and
WHEREAS, Recommendation #5 stated that the Task Force "recommends the
inclusion of a significant buffer of `not -to -be -disturbed lands' of at least 600' wide lying
north of and parallel to Clabber Creek"; and
WHEREAS, such "not -to -be -disturbed lands" west of Deane Solomon Road blocks
the access from Crystal Springs development to Deane Solomon Road; and
WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Planning Commission upon recommendation of the
City of Fayetteville Planning Division has for years required the developers of Crystal
Springs subdivision to plan for and eventually connect their subdivision to Deane Solomon
Road; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Division and Planning
Commission, the developer of Crystal Springs, Phase III, has presented a proposed plat
showing the extension of Crystal Drive to intersect through city property that is currently
within the 600' buffer zone to Deane Solomon Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby
amends Resolution No. 153-02 to exempt that portion of the 600 -foot buffer strip north of
Clabber Creek lying west of Deane Solomon Road needed for right-of-way to construct
Crystal Drive and adjoining sidewalks to Deane Solomon Road.

Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby
amends Resolution No. 153-02 to exempt that portion of the 600 -foot buffer strip north of
Clabber Creek lying west of Deane Solomon Road.
