IN THE AMOUNT OF TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS ($22,680.00) FOR ITEMS ASSOCIATED WITH OFF-SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT THE NEW CENTRAL LIBRARY; AND APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS ($22,680.00). BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the City Council of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereby approves contract amendments 11, 12, and 13 to the contract with Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle Ltd. in the amount of Twenty -Two Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Dollars ($22,680.00) for items associated with off-site improvements at the New Central Library. A copy of which, marked Exhibit "A" is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 2. That the City Council of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereby approves a budget adjustment in the amount of Twenty -Two Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Dollars ($22,680.00). They are outlined below: • Amendment 11: This amendment to the contract with Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle, LTD is for City assistance in obtaining the proposed easement required for off-site drainage. It covers the work necessary to locate and stake out both sides of the easement at all turning points The drainage easement is located on the west side of West Street. The property owners have agreed to donate the easement to the City of Fayetteville. The cost of this work is $660. ts • Amendment 12: On April 18, 2002 the City Engineer requested additional work related to the design and construction observation for sewer and water line improvement along Mountain Street adjacent to the Library site; and sewer improvement along Rock Street. Included are the design of the water and sewer improvement; meetings with the City during design and construction; the ADoH review fee; part-time construction observation; and verification of Contractor's Pay Request. The cost is $16,500 plus reimbursable expenses of $900. • Amendment 13: On April 18, 2002 the City Engineer requested additional work related to construction observation services for the proposed roadway improvements to Mountain Street, West Avenue, and Rock Street bordering the library site in accordance with Section 7 of the Fayetteville Minimum Street Standards.
