A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO REQUEST
RELEASE OF $193,460.00 APPROPRIATED IN ACT 1122 OF
2001 FOR THE RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY PARK
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Legislature passed Act 1122 of 2001
appropriating funds for worthy projects authorized by the Economic
Development of Arkansas Fund Commission, and
WHEREAS, the First project listed was $193,460.00 for the Research and
Technology Park at Fayetteville; and
WHEREAS, these funds are much needed and will be very helpful for the
economic development of Fayetteville and this whole region of Arkansas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Council hereby expresses its gratitude to the State
Legislature, Governor Huckabee and the Economic Development of Arkansas
Fund Commission for the appropnation of these needed funds for the Research
and Technology Park in Fayetteville.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes Mayor Dan Coody to
formally request that the $193,460.00 be released to the City of Fayetteville for
use in the Research and Technology Park pursuant to Act 1122 of 2001.
