A RESOLUTION AWARDING BID 01-13 TO WILLIAMS TRACTOR IN THE
AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED ELEVEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED
AND SEVENTY-EIGHT DOLLARS ($111,778.00) AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF TWO TRAILER MOUNTED GENERATOR SETS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby Awards Bid 01-13 to Williams Tractor in the
Amount of One Hundred Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy-eight Dollars
($111,778.00).
Section 2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the payment of this $111,778.00 for
the purchase of two trailer mounted generator sets.

SUBJECT: BID AWARD RECOMMENDATION 01-13
Reference the attached Agenda Request for the Award of Bid 01-13, Item #1, to the lowest
qualified bidder meeting specifications. This Vendor is Williams Tractor, Fayetteville, AR 72702.
(Vendor #12860). This is a budgeted item..
The Bid Tabulation Sheet dated February 2, 2001, is included along with a copy of the formal bid
that was sent to each of the vendors on the Bidders List attached along with a completed copy
of the successful bid. Please note the acceptance of the bid for Altemate #1 which allows the City
to obtain a generator with a higher capacity than the one specified for $1,000.00 over the base
bid. This also included an engine (power unit) of a higher cubic inch rating than the one specified
in the origin4 bod. The purchase of this upgrade will definitely be to the advantage of the City.

This item has been evaluated for compliance with original specifications along with anticipated
Manufacturer and Dealer support necessary to maintain this unit in a proper and efficient manner.
A post bid conference was also held with the Bidder and the Representative for the Unit bid to
assure the compliance with our needs.
It has been with an objective attitude that this bid has been evaluated. This recommendation has
been reviewed by Representatives of OMI, Water/Sewer Division, Fleet Operations Division and
the Equipment Committee.
Therefore, the following is submitted for purchase approval by the Council:

The budgeted amount for items of this type is $1501000.00 in account 5400-5700-5802.00,
