BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves a budget adjustment to the Sales Tax Capital Improvement Fund reallocating Four Hundred Ninety - Eight Thousand One Hundred Thirty -Four Dollars ($498,134.00) for right-of-way acquisition, radio system replacement, street improvements, and water/sewer relocation. Also, authorization is requested to move the funding for Garland Street Water/Sewer Relocation Project from Sales Tax Capital Improvement Fund to Water & Sewer Fund. Project or Item Deleted: Proposed funding for this adju tment is from the HWY 62 West Waterline Project and reallocafon of funding for the Garland Street Water/Sewer Relocation Project. COPY Justification of this Increase: The additional funding is needed to purchase right of way on the west side of Gregg Street for a planned street widening project; additional funds are requested for the Radio*jstem Replacement project to allow the City to take advantage of an offer from Motorola to upgrade several repeaters and improve the overall radio project; the funds are requested for Starr Drive to complete the improvement to Starr Drive that is outside the scope of work for the school being constructed along the street; additional funds are requested to add to the budget for Sunbridge and Gregg Intersection. Also, project saving from HWY 16 West Widening project is proposed for this adjustment. Justification of this Decrease: The HWY 62est Waterline project has been evaluated and determined t e necessary at this time. The frequency of waterline breaks has decreased significantly because the volume of water flow through the pipe has decreased thereby relieving the pressure on the pipe. Staff recommends reallocation of the funding to Garland Street Water & Sewer Relocation project.
