A RESOLUTION APPROVING MAYOR COODY TO SERVE AS
THE CITY'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE TO THE FOUR -
COUNTY (NW) REGIONAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
BOARD
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, is a member of the Four -County (NW)
Regional Solid Waste Management District, established pursuant to Arkansas Act 752 of 1991; and
WHEREAS, the Four -County (NW) Regional Solid Waste Management District is govemed
by the Four -County (NW) Regional Solid Waste Management Board, composed of the county Judge
of each member county and the mayor of each member city within the District.
WHEREAS, A.C.A. §8-6-703 states that the Mayor of each city entitled to a representative
in the district shall serve on the board unless such mayor shall elect instead to appoint a member.
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Fayetteville desires to serve as the authorized
representative on the board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves Mayor Coody to serve as the city's
authorized representative on the Four -County (NW) Regional Solid Waste Management Board along
with all the rights and responsibilities thereto.
