RESOLUTION NO. 86-99
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF AN
EASEMENT FROM JERRY SWEETSER FOR THE PLACEMENT
OF A CITY SIGN ON HIGHWAY 45; AND CONVEYING A
PORTION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY (OLD 24TH STREET CURVE)
TO MR. SWEETSER AS CONSIDERATION FOR THE
EASEMENT.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby authorizes the acquisition of an easement from
Jerry Sweetser for the placement of a city sign on Highway 45; and conveys a portion of right-of-
way (old 24th street curve) to Mr. Sweetser as consideration for the easement. A copy of the deeds
are attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and "B" and made a part hereof.

RE: Exchange of property
An easement is needed from Mr. Jerry Sweetscr for the placement of a city entry sign on
Highway 45. As consideration for the acquisition, it is proposed that a portion of the old curve
on 24th street be transferred to Mr. Sweetser, the adjoining property owner. The 24`h street
project is complete and the property is no longer needed for a public purpose.
Attachments:
A. Old 24th street curve with area to be transferred to Mr. Sweetser shaded.
B. Easement to be conveyed for placement of a city entry sign.
