RESOLUTION NO 5 3- 9 9

A RESOLUTION INCREASING THE 1999 OPERATING
BUDGET TO ADD ONE POLICE SERGEANT, ONE WARRANT
OFFICER AND ONE DISPATCHER BY APPROVING THE
ATTACHED BUDGET ADJUSTMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS•
Section 1 That the City Council hereby increases the 1999 operating budget to add one
police sergeant, one warrant officer and one dispatcher. A copy of the budget adjustment is attached
hereto marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof.

$65,882 to various accounts in the Patrol
and Central Dispatch Programs within the
Police Department.
Project or Item Deleted:
To recognize $3,561 in additional
911 Reimbursement Revenue, to
recognize $41,635 in Warrant Fee
Revenue, and $20,686 in General
Fund Use of Fund Balance.
Justification of this Increase:
The additional funding is needed to hire a
Sergeant, a Warrant Officer, and a
Dispatcher. The funding requested will
allow the three positions to work starting
June 1, 1999.
Justification of this Decrease:
The 911 reimbursement revenue will
be received from the County as a
result of the hiring of the
dispatcher. The warrant fee revenue
will be received from the new
collection of a $25.00 warrant fee.
Sufficient funding remains in
General Fund to meet City Policy.
