A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LETTER AGREEMENT WITH
JOHNSON MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS, INC., FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF PLUMBING AND HVAC SYSTEMS, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $44,500, TO RENOVATE THE OLD
ANIMAL SHELTER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves a letter agreement with Johnson
Mechanical Contractors, Inc., for the installation of plumbing and HVAC systems, in an amount not
to exceed $44,500, to renovate the old animal shelter; and authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to
execute said agreement. A copy of the agreement is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and made
a part hereof.

Re: Animal Shelter
We propose to furnish and install plumbing and HVAC systems for this project. All
work will be in accordance with plans from the office of Green Anderson Engineers and
the following scope of work:
HVAC
• Provide and install FU -1, programmable T -stat and RA firestat.
• Provide and install FY -1 and wall cap.
• Provide and install AC -1 with wall sleeve and exterior grille.
• Provide and install lined sheetmetal duct system, air devices, and dampers.
• Provide and install water heater vent and combustion air piping.
HVAC EXCLUSIONS
> All hole cutting and patching by others.
> .Power wiring by others.
> EUH-1 is excluded.
• AC -1 will be a PTAC unit mounted in a masonry opening provided others.
• Independent test and balance, if required, by others.

PLUMBING
> All work shown on drawings except as noted below.
> Gas piping to furnace and water heater (not shown).
> New water closet (not on drawings).
> 1 % copper water service to existing meter at NE corner of property.
> All new water piping inside building will be exposed and uninsulated.
> We have included compacted gravel backfill under asphalt ditch lines.
PLUMBING EXCLUSIONS

Water heater and RPZ's will be furnished by the city.
All cut and patch of building and parking lot by others.
Excavation and backfill of ditches outside of building by others.
Pipe insulation is excluded.
Tap fees and permit fees by others.
Not to exceed pnce for plumbing work $19,900.00
GRINDER PUMPS
> Furnish and install duplex grinder pump system as scheduled on drawings.
> Connect to existing discharge piping.
> Connect new building sewer to pit.
GRINDER PUMP EXCLUSIONS
• Excavation and backfill by others.
> Power wiring by others.
> Reinforced concrete foundation by others.
Not to exceed price for grinder pumps $14,000.00
GAS SERVICE
> Furnish and install new piping (2 inch) from existing meter at Armstrong to East
end of old animal shelter and connect to existing 1 '/< service.
> Leave 2" stub -out for future building.
> Modify piping and install regulator at building for the existing animal shelter.
> Furnish and install tracer wire for all new piping.

GAS SERVICE EXCLUSIONS
> All ditch work by others
> No work included for future animal shelter.
Not to exceed price for gas service
