RESOLUTION NO. 113-98

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A COST SHARE
AGREEMENT WITH WRMC FOR THE COST DIFFERENCE TO
CONSTRUCT 6FT SIDEWALKS INSTEAD OF 4FT SIDEWALKS
AND A 36FT COLLECTOR STREET INSTEAD OF A 28FT
LOCAL STREET AT A ESTIMATED COST OF $51,846 TO THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE.
WHEREAS, the City's budget contains a"Street R-O-W/Intersection/Cost Sharing" account
which was established for miscellaneous cost -share with developments, and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to cost share with developers for the difference between
"collectors" and "local" streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1 That the City Council hereby approves a cost share agreement with
Washington Regional Medical Center for the cost difference to construction 6 foot sidewalks instead
of 4 foot sidewalks and a 36 foot collector street instead of a 28 foot local street at an estimated cost
of $51,846; and authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement for said costs. A copy
of the agreement is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof.

Re: Washington Regional Assisted Care - Street cost share.
Dear Sir,
When the proposed cost share was approved by the City Council on August 18, 1998 the
resolution referenced an agreement "exhibit A" (see attached resolution).
This was a mis-communication between City Engineering and the City Clerk. I had intended for
the letter and estimate from you to serve as the basis.
However, since the resolution passed with reference to an agreement the resolution cannot be
signed without the referenced agreement.
Therefore, I need for you to provide a letter agreement signed by the applicable person for
WRMC which states that they agree with the proposed cost share scope and estimated costs of
$51,846.00.
