HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-96 RESOLUTIONRESOLUTION NO. 11-96 A RESOLUTION AWARDING BID NO. 95-82 IN THE AMOUNT OF $175,33$ TO DOWNING SALES AND SERVICE FOR THE PURCHASE OF A HORIZONTAL BALER AND CONVEYING SYSTEM FOR THE MATERIALS RECOVERY FACILITY AND APPROVAL OF A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the City Council hereby awards Bid No. 95-82 in the amount of $175,338 to Downing Sales and Service for the purchase of a horizontal baler and conveying system for the Materials Recovery Facility. A copy of the bid tabulation is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof. Section 2. The City Council hereby approves a budget adjustment in the amount of $69,338 increasing Solid Waste Improvements, Acct. No 4470 9470 5816 00, Project No. 96026 by decreasing Solid Waste Improvements, Acct. No. 4470 9470 5816 00, Project No. 94049 and Acct. No. 4470 9470 5816 00, Project No. 96050. A copy of the budget adjustment is attached hereto and made a part hereof. PASSED AND APPROVED this 6th day of February , 1996. Projec or Item Deleted: Funding proposed for this request is a reduction of the dumpster lease program project # 96050 and a reduction of the drop off recycling station project # 96049. Justification of this Increase: Additional funds are needed for this project to purchase an open end baler. The baler originally planned for the MRF was a closed end unit. The open end baler has greater output capacity. Justification of this Decrease: The baler project is more critical to the waste diversion goals of the City.
