HomeMy WebLinkAbout47-95 RESOLUTION• • RESOLUTION NO. 4 7 - 95 A RESOLUTION PROPOSING CONTINUNING EMPLOYMENT OF WARNER CABLE EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, TCA has entered into an agreement buying out Warner Cable which will become effective on or about May 15, 1995; and WHEREAS, the Cable Commission has recommended approval of the transfer of ownership to become effective on or about May 15, 1995; and WHEREAS, Warner Cable has 32 employees, all of whom are citizens of Washington County; and WHEREAS, employees of Warner Cable have provided many years of dedicated and quality service to the citizens of Fayetteville; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Fayetteville, its citizens and families, to encourage the continuity of employment when transfers occur. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Council strongly encourages TCA to retain the employees of Warner Cable when the transfer of ownership is approved and finalized by the City Council.
