A RESOLUTION APPROVING PAYMENT OF $63,537 TO THE
ARKANSAS HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION
DEPARTMENT FOR THE REMAINING C1TY SHARE IN
CONNECTION WITH THE EX'T'ENSION OF RAZORBACK
ROAD; AND CONCURRING WITH THE ARKANSAS
HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT'S
AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION BID TO MCCLINTON-
ANCHOR CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF
$2,019,602.40.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE C1TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Council hereby approves payment in the amount of $63,537 to the
Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department for the remaining city share in connection
with the extension of Razorback Road. A copy of AHTD's letter with proportional charges is
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Section 2. The Council also concurs with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation
Department s award of a construction hid to McClinton -Anchor Construction Company in the
amount of $2,019.602.40.

of S2.019.602.40 for the referenced project at the Department's August 30. 1995 letting
The Arkansas State Highway Commission has tentatively accepted their proposal and will
execute the contract upon receipt of the City's concurrence and matching funds.
On the basis of the low bid and estimated preliminary engineering. right-of-way, and
utility costs. the estimated total cost and matching shares for the project are as follows:

Your check for $63,537 (made payable to the Arkansas State Highway and
Transportation Department) should be fbnvarded to this office as soon as possible. The
contract will not he executed, and construction cannot begin, until the concurrence
and check are received.
fhe Department will make every effort to assure the project is constructed in accordance
with the plans and specifications, thereby minimizing the possibility. of items being
declared non -participating for federal funds. Because the Department cannot spend
highway funds for projects off the State Highway System, the City would be responsible
for 100% of the cost of any items declared non -participating on its portion of the project.
Upon completion of the project a ,tatement will he prepared reflecting the final cost and
respective matching shares At that time. the City w ill he returned funds remaining over
the deposit or billed for additional funds required.
