Re• Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Proposal
Date: May 13, 1993
As a result of the unfavorable outcome of the sales tax lawsuit, staff proposes a budget
adjustment that reduces the authorized funding for all remaining capital projects in the Capital
Improvement Construction Fund (4470) and the Sales Tax Construction Fund (4520) to zero.
Staff further proposes to establish the following project budgets in the Capital Improvement
Construction Fund to fund the paving of gravel streets in 1993 and park improvements for the
development of Gulley Park. The project budgets proposed are as follows:
• Pavement Improvements
• Park Improvements
$600,000
25,000
The timing of these two projects may require temporarily utilizing cash in the Replacement Fund
and reimbursing the Replacement Fund out of the first two checks received from the City Sales
Tax. The collections received in September/October should be approximately $1,000,000.
