HomeMy WebLinkAbout57-93 RESOLUTION• • • r RESOLUTION NO. 57-93 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENTS REDUCING CAPITAL PROJECT FUNDING IN THE CAPTIAL IMPROVEMENT CONSTRUCTION FUND AND THE SALES TAX CONSTRUCTION FUND AND ESTABLISHING FUNDING FOR WATER LINE IMPROVEMENTS, STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND PARKS IMPROVEMENTS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the Council authonzes the attached budget amendments reducmg capital project funding in the Capital Improvement Construction Fund and the Sales Tax Construction Fund and establishing funding for water line improvements, street improvements and parks improvements. Staff further proposes to establish the following project budgets in the Capital Improvement Construction Fund to fund the paving of gravel streets in 1993 and park improvements for the development of Gulley Park. The project budgets proposed are as follows: • Pavement Improvements • Park Improvements $600,000 25,000 The timing of these two projects may require temporarily utilizing cash in the Replacement Fund and reimbursing the Replacement Fund out of the first two checks received from the City Sales Tax. Clgril;' Parks & Recreation Director FROM: Col'diir Edmonton, Assistant Parks Director DATE: May 19, 1993 SUBJECT: LWCF GRANT AWARD The City of Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded $25,000 matching grant from the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism Outdoor Recreation (LWCF). The original grant proposal was for $50,000. This was previous budgeted in the 1993 CIP budget for $50,000. The Parks Department needs $25,000 as our matching monies to fulfill the grant award from the state. The grant is for the development of Gulley Park. The Parks Department is holding a Public Meeting on Monday, May 24, 1993, 6:30 p.m., at Gulley Park to gather input as to the project priorities. See attached letter.
