SUBJECT: BID AWARD RECOMMENDATION 92-58
Attached is the Agenda Request for the Award of Bid 92-58 to the
bidder meeting requirements for the 1993 Unleaded Gasoline for use
in the City Fleet. The Vendor for this purchase will be Mitchell
Oil Co, Inc., P.O.Box 1466, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Vendor 47900.
This pricing structure will be utilized from the transition date in
January 1993 to January 31, 1994.
This will also allow purchases by other operations within the City
which utilize other funds and give them a pricing advantage without
the necessity of bidding fuel on a load by load basis. It has been
found in the past that the individual need bidding has not been to
the best interest of the City.
Recommend purchase of 1993 Gasoline Requirements per Bid #92-58, as
follows.
The proposal submitted is for a variable fixed pricing structure
based on the Daily Supplies Price Quotes. The final pricing will
also include all applicable taxes, all applicable environmental
fees and a two cent transportation fee per gallon.
This bid has been evaluated for compliance with specifications and
requirements. In addition, experience factors with this vendor have
proved to be satisfactory in the past. This recommendation is
submitted with confidence that the City of Fayetteville will
receive the best value for the dollars spent.
The budgeted amount for this item is from the Shop Fund Materials
and Supplies Category, Gasoline, 9700-1910-5213.00 in the amount of
$91,000.00.
