RESOLUTION NO. 27-93
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TEMPORARY
RELINQUISHMENT OF WATER SERVICE AREA OF SOUTH
OF THE INTERSECTION OF THE BYPASS AND CATO
SPRINGS ROAD AND NORTH OF GREENLAND TO THE
WASHINGTON WATER AUTHORITY, SUBJECT TO
CERTAIN STATED CONDITIONS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby authorizes temporanly relinquishment of
water service area south of the intersection of the bypass and Cato Springs Road and north of
Greenland, to the Washington Water Authority, subject to the following conditions:
1. All construction within the City's water service area is to be done
in accordance to the City's material and construction specifications,
including service taps.
2. The area would automatically revert to the City of Fayetteville at
such time as the City had a line which tied to the line being
proposed at this time.
3. The plans for the proposed extension would be subject to review
by the City and would be accomplished at no cost to the City.
4. No expansion of the area involved in the temporary transfer or
further extension of the waterline in equestion could be made
without explicit approval of both the City and the Washington
Water Authority.
A copy of the legal description and map of the subject area is attached hereto and made part
hereof.

Area Description:

R -30-W, bemg more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at the SW Corner of the SW'% of said Section 32, thence N88°55'28"E
155.73' along the south line of said SW'% to its intersection with the westerly R/W of the new
U.S. Highway 71, thence along said R/W N13 °40'58"E 38.88', N13 °40'59"E 190.55',
N20"51'41"E 270.74', N25°21'44"W 269.07', N55 °17'05"E 256.13, N10"54'52"E 402.00",
N01 `01'30"W 115.43', N89"55'33"E 208.81', N15"53'26"E 200.00', thence leaving said R/W
N73 °22'30"W 600.00', thence S16°37'30"W parallel to the centerline of Highway 71 1825.29'

Point of Beginning, containing 18.85 acres, more or less.
