A RESOLUTION AWARDING BID NO. 92-53 TO HARRISON
DAVIS CONSTRUCTION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN
OFFICE/RESTROOM 1N THE POLICE STORAGE FACILITY
IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,700 AND APPROVAL OF A
BUDGET ADJUSTMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
,Section 1. that Bid No. 92-53 is hereby awarded to Harrison Davis Construction for
the construction of an office/restroom in the police storage facility in the amount of $15,700.
A copy of the bid tabulation is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hercxof.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby approves a budget adjustment in the amount
of $15,700 by decreasing Acct. Nos. 1010-2940-5108.00, Insurance-Hcalth; 1010-2940-5304.00,
Travel and Training, and 1010-2940-5311.02, Insurance -Personal Liability increasing Acct. No.
1010-2940-5804 00 Building Construction Cost. A copy of the budget adjustment is attached
hereto marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof.

CONTRACT FOR OFFICE/RESTROOM CONSTRUCTION
This agreement made the .15:t t day of Oeccmr , 1992, by
and between Harrison Davis Construction Comnanv hereinafter
called "contractor" and the City of Fayetteville, hereinafter
called the "City" shall be utilized to provide the following
services:
The contractor hereby agrees to provide all materials and
construction of the office and restroom structure to be located in
the northwest west corner of the police storage warehouse, see
attached exhibit "A". The amount of the project will not exceed
515.700.00 This project shall include all items and provisions
set forth in the bid specifications (Perry A. Butcher drawings)
including the installation of the City -furnished items.
The project time frame shall coincide with the number of days
stated in the bid documents which were submitted to the Purchasing
Manager. Liquidated damages of $50 per day shall be assessed at
the option of the City, and not a penalty, beginning on the first
day following completion time entered on this bid.
A 10% retainage of the total project bid shall be held by the
City until the project has been completed and accepted by the City.

Funds to construct office and restroom in the existing

JUSTIFICATION OF THIS INCREASE
These improvements will provide office space away from
the evidence processing area and a restroom for employee
use.
PROJECT OR ITEM DELETED:
None.
JUSTIFICATION OF THIS DECREASE
The health insurance and personal liability insurance
accounts are sufficient to meet the 1992 expenses. The
travel and training account has a surplus due to hiring
officers who are already certified.
