HomeMy WebLinkAbout169-92 RESOLUTION1 di • RESOLUTION NO. 169-92 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $927,500, A CONTRACT WITH MARINONI CONSTRUCTION IN THE AMOUNT OF $810,000, A CHANGE ORDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,000 AND A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $176,000, ALL OF WHICH ARE REQUIRED TO INITIATE THE CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION OF THE SYSTEMATICS BUILDING FOR ADDITIONAL POLICE, COMMUNICATIONS, AND MUNICIPAL COURT SPACE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the Board of Directors hereby approves the following requirements for the construction/renovation of the Systematics Building for additional for police, communications, and municipal court space: 1. A budget adjustment in the amount of $927,500 which involves "switching" the existing funding for the Systematics renovation and the Dickson Street improvements projects. A copy of the budget adjustment is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof. 2. A contract in the amount of $810,000 with Marinoni Construction. 3. A change order with Perry Butcher & Associates in the amount of $14,000, and 4. a budget adjustment in the amount of $176,000 from the General Fund Undesignated Fund Balance. A copy of the contract, change order, and budget adjustment authorized for execution hereby is attached hereto marked Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof. Ductwork and equipment is installed per plans and specifications. Due to the duct heater duct being so close to fire damper and duct from heater being directed to top half of wall penetration (where fire damper linkage is located) A11 fire dampers slammed shut. The solder links are 165° rated as per specifications. Tony Knight (Fayetteville Plumbing & Heating's Foreman) has had phone conversation with RD Hendron discussing this matter. Tony was instructed to install a hotter fire link in fire dampers. I will need written instructions as to what work will take place. This unit will be unable to operate until this is resolved. Fire links are available in 2120 and 286°. These aren't very expensive, however minimum order requirements and handling charges increase prices. ARTICLE 5 PROGRESS PAYMENTS 5.1 Based upon Applications for Payment submitted to the Architect by the Contractor and Certificates for Payment issued by the Architect, the Owner shall make progress payments on account of the Contract Sum to the Contractor as provided below and elsewhere in the Contract Documents. 5.2 The period covered by each Application for Payment shall be one calendar month ending on the last dap of the month. or as follows: Thirtieth day of each month 5.3 Provided an .Applic (A aymen is received by the Architect not later than the First JaX�(Jo 30th. f dap of a month, the Owner shall make payment to the Contractor not later than the day of the same month. This schedule. unless objected to by the Architect, shall he used as a basis for reviewing the Contractor's Applications for Payment. 5.5 Applications for Payment shall indicate the percentage of completion of each portion of the Work as of the end of the period covered by the Application for Payment. 5.6 Subject to the provisions of the Contract Documents, the amount of each progress payment shall he computed as follows: 5.6.1. Take that portion of the Contract Sum properly allocable to completed Work as determined by multiplying the percentage completion of each portion of the Work by the share of the total Contract Sum allocated to that portion of the Work in the schedule of values, less retainage of * *TEN* * percent ( 10 X).
