That the Board of Directors hereby awards Bid No. 92-37, Items a and e and authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a contract with Instrument and Supply Company for Item a, in the amount of $39,076.64 for a duplex bubbler control system and level control system used to control lift station pumps, and with A. W. Chesterton for Item e, in the amount $19,634.08 for a sludge transfer pump. A copy of the contracts and bid tabulation for execution are attached hereto and made a part hereof. ARKANSAS AIRPORT DIVISION July 28, 1992 Mr. Randy Betsill Project Engineer Arkansas Development Office Federal Aviation Administration Fort Worth, Texas 76193-0630 Re: Lighting/Fencing/Generator Project - AIP 3-05-0020-14 Dear Mr. Betsill: The City of Fayetteville Airport is in the process of completing the "punch -list" items identified during the final inspection which was conducted on the above referenced project. As we discussed during your trip to Fayetteville after the final inspection, several acts of "vandalism" have occurred on the commercial terminal ramp during the last 5 months. Currently these incidents are under investigation by the FBI, however, we would like to do everything in our power to add "additional barriers" to our ramp access. The completion of the majority of the outriggers on the existing perimeter fence would aid in this endeavor. The price per foot is the same quoted in the original contract. I have also enclosed for your review, a change order for additional electrical work which was necessary to relocate the placement and provide for installation of two light poles, this was requested by a utility company with existing poles in that area. The engineers letter requesting approval of this office has also been included for your review. Sufficient funds remain in the project to cover the cost of the enclosed change orders. The fencing change order will provide identical outriggers to those already installed in this project. I apologize for the electrical change order and understand if your participation is not possible. Relocate five light poles along Ernest Lancaster Drive from the east and north side to the west and south side of the road. These relocations were necessary due to SWEPCO 's decision to not allow the poles as close to the power line as previously discussed with SWEPCO and as shown on the plans. The relocation includes 145 feet of additional 1; -inch conduit and 3 conductor wiring; 45 feet of additional trenching and backfill; excavation and backfill of ends of existing encased duct at three road crossings; and labor time to install the additional conduit and wiring.
