RESOLUTION NO. 38-91
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO
THE ENGINEERING CONTRACT WITH CEI ENGINEERING
ASSOCIATES, INC. AND CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH APAC ARKANSAS-
MCCLINTON ANCHOR DIVSION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute Change Order No. 1 to the
engineering contract of CEI Engineering Associates, Inc. in the
amount of $1,045.00 and to the construction contract with McClinton
Anchor Divsion of APAC Arkansas in the amount of $14,298.36 for the
Armstrong Avenue Improvements project. A copy of the amendments to
the contracts authorized for execution hereby is attached hereto
and made a part hereof. z

AMENDMENT TO
AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
This is an amendment to the Agreement for Engineering Services
executed on the 6th day of September, 1989 between the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas and CEI Engineering Associates, Inc. for
the Armstrong Ave. Street construction.
The City intends to increase the scope of the referenced
agreement to include an additional length of street construction
to the gate at Superior Wheel, the length being approximately 150
LE.
CEI Engineering Associates, Inc. agrees to perform the
professional engineering services for the design and construction
of said additional length.
Section B Compensation for Engineering Services from the
referenced agreement shall be amended as follows:
Part 1A: For professional services required to complete detailed
plans and specifications for the above referenced
project, including surveys for easement purposes, the
CITY shall compensate the ENGINEER with the lump sum fee
of
(Five thousand six hundred eighty five dollars)
$5,685.00
18: For professional services required to complete the
preparation of easement documents and plats, the CITY
shall compensate the ENGINEER with the lump sum fee of
(Two thousand dollars)
$2,000.00
Said amount to be adjusted to actual effort involved
according to ENGINEERS standard hourly rate (27.50) for
a Registered Land Surveyor
Part 2 : For professional services for the bid phase of the
project, through the recommendation of awards, the CITY
shall compensate the ENGINEER with the lump sum fee of
(One thousand dollars)
$1,000.00
Part 3 : For professional services required to perform
construction management including one full time inspector
for the entire estimated construction period and
preparation of "As -Built" drawings, the CITY shall
compensate the ENGINEER with the lump sum fee of
(Five thousand four hundred thirty five dollars)
$5,435.00
Said amounts reflecting a proportional amount of a total
increase of $1,045.00 (One thousand and forty-five dollars) in
contract price.
This amendment does not affect or alter any contract provision
other than what is clearly stated herein.
