FAYETTEVILLE TO HOLDING A PUBLIC VOTE ON THE
ISSUE OF CONTINUED PARTICIPATION IN THE
NORTHWEST ARKANSAS REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY
WITHIN 90 DAYS FOLLOWING THE COMPLETION OF THE
AUTHORITY'S FEASIBILITY STUDY.

WHEREAS, the `City�of Fayetteville has previously passed a
resolution joining the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport
Authority; and, +, 4 ‘ •

WHEREAS, the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport Authority is
currently contracting, for a feasibility study to examine all
aspects of developing a regional airport,in the Northwest Arkansas
Regional Airport Authority'area.and,' -
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Fayetteville should
benefit from such a feasibility study in that it should provide
them with sufficient information upon which to base a decision on
whether or not to participate in any effort by the Northwest
Arkansas Regional Airport Authority to develop a regional airport;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors recognizes the desire of
the citizens of Fayetteville to have direct electoral input, after
the completion of such feasibility study on the decision of whether
or not to continue to participate in the Northwest Arkansas
Regional Airport Authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Board of Directors shall do all things
necessary in order to hold a public vote on the issue of the City's
continued participation in the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport
Authority within 90 days following the completion of the
Authority's feasibility study to develop a regional airport in the
Northwest Arkansas area.
