RESOLUTION NO. 200-91
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT AMENDMENT
WITH RJN ASSOCIATES FOR THE ILLINOIS RIVER
SEWER SYSTEM STUDY FOR ADDITIONAL MONITORING
AND TELEVISING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute a contract amendment in the
amount of $61,929 for the Illinois River Sewer System Study for
additional monitoring and televising. A copy of the contract
authorized for execution hereby is attached hereto marked Exhibit
"A" and made a part hereof.

Amendment No. 1.
WHEREAS, on the fifth day of March, 1991 the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas and RJN Environmental Associates, Inc.
made and entered into a contract for Engineering Services to
perform a Sewer Study for the Illinois River Watershed and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to expand the engineering
service contract covering the Sewer System Study and
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville and RJN Environmental
Associates, Inc. desire to amend said Contract, so as to include
therein the necessary scope of work;
NOW THEREFORE, KNOW
ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That the City of Fayetteville, a municipal corporation
situated in Washington County, Arkansas, hereinafter called
"City" and RJN Environmental Associates, Inc. hereinafter called
"Engineer", hereby make and enter into the following agreement:
1.
The March 5, 1991, contract between the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas and RJN Environmental Associates, Inc. is
hereby amended to include additional services required to
complete the Sewer System Study of the Illinois River Watershed.
The additional services are as follows:
1. Based on field conditions that differed from the
sanitary sewer maps, add seven (7) additional temporary
flow meters to monitor flow in the wastewater
collection system.
2. Based on field conditions, provide an additional
10,500 linear feet of television inspection to identify
specific sources of I/I in the wastewater collection
system.
The contract entered into on March 5, 1991 is hereby amended
by increasing the cost not to exceed ceiling in Section IV, Fees
and Payments, to $562,540.00. A breakdown by unit cost for the
amendment is as follows:
1. Continuous Flow Metering
(7 sites for 60 days)
2. TV Inspection
(10,500 linear feet)

$ 2.79/LF $29,295.00
Total $61,929.00

All other provisions, covenants, recitals, terms and
conditions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended
herein, shall remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this agreement
in triplicate originals on this date, the 5th day of Nnvpmhpr
