A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE OFFICERS OF THE
FAYETTEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the United States entered into armed conflict with
the country of Iraq on or about January 16, 1991, and;
WHEREAS, heightened tensions of citizens resulted in different
public views being expressed about that conflict, and;
WHEREAS, Fayetteville citizens have met in public to rally for
their views, and;
WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Police Department planned, staffed
and managed personnel to facilitate orderly crowd control for the
various rallies, and;
WHEREAS, many persons commented about the professionalism of
the Fayetteville officers assigned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Board of Directors do hereby commend
officers of the Fayetteville Police Department for their high
standard of excellence and professional conduct displayed on the
aforementioned occasions.
