Home My WebLink About198-91 RESOLUTION• RESOLUTION NO. 198-91 A RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER 13 FOR THE WALTON ARTS CENTER TO REINSTATE THE PAINTING, ACOUSTICAL WALLS AND CEILING, 6 ADDITIONAL WATER CLOSETS, PLYWOOD BACKING IN GALLERY, AND ADDITIONAL STAGE DRAPES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order 13 in the amount of $438,430.51 to reinstate the painting, acoustical walls and ceiling, 6 additional water closets, plywood backing in gallery, and additional stage drapes. Fort Smith, Arkansas Addendum No. 8 to the Drawings and Specifications. The following Addendum shall be incorporated in the Drawings and Speci- fications which are a part of the Contract Documents and shall super- sede anything contained therein with which it may conflict. Item No. 1. Refer to Plan A2.4 and Details 2/A4.I, 3/A4.1 and 5/A4.3. a. Install a layer of plywood between studs and gypsum board in locations shown on Drawing Nos. SD114a and SD114b, attached. Plywood shall be Exterior Type, 1/2" thick, C -D Plugged and Sanded Grade with exterior glue. Plywood shall be screw attached to metal studs using bugle headed, sheetmetal screws at 6" o.c. at perimeter and 12" o.c. at intermediate points. Extend plywood to underside of structural member or deck above. At the wall on the west side of the room (between grid B-2 and B-6) this Is just slightly above the 9'-0" height. At the other walls it is at or just below the metal roof deck. b. Change gypsum wallboard to Type "X" fire -rated wallboard where installed over plywood. Extend height of gypsum wallboard to the underside of the structure or deck above and tape and float to full height. At the west wall (between grids B-2 and B-6) gypsum board will terminate at the structural member just above the 9'-0" height. However, the vertical part of the furr-down at this wall shall be extended to the roof deck above. c. In the limited areas of the room where plywood is not to be installed the gypsum wallboard at walls and furr-downs shall be extend- ed to the underside of the structure or metal deck and it shall be taped and floated for the full height. Item No 2. Refer to Specification Section 11062, Stage Drapery. Add the following equipment to that called for by the Specifications: a. Hain Stage: (1) Black Velour blackout curtain, (1 section) 30' high x 70' wide, 20 oz. velour, 0Y., pipe pocket, unlined, storage hamper and 1/2" pipe. Revise Hen 110, women 111, Women 132, Men .33, Men 2C1, and Women 205 as show:: on Drawing Nos. SD112a through SC1:_'' and ar fu-ther described in the following paragraphs: a. Men 110. Revise location of soar: dispensers to provide one dispenser at each end of the lavatory counter and one dispenser on the back wall between the two renter lavatories. This results in the omission of one soap dispenser. b. Women 111. Revise location of soap dispensers as shown on pian which results In the omission of two dispensers. Add one towel dispenser, add two water closets ar.d toilet partitions along the north wall (deleting one water closet and toilet partition on the south wall), and add closet spare off corridor which will have vinyl composi- tion f:oor, acoustical beard ceiling, and new door and hardware (Set No. 8). Add one full le -.nth mirror (specified in Specification Section 1000C, Paragraph 8) where directed by Architect. c. Women 132. Revise location of soap dispensers as shown an plan, add two water closets and toilet partitions. Add one full length mirror (specified in Specifiicatior. Section :0000, Paragraph 8) where directed by Architect. d. Hen 133. Rev.'se location of soap dispensers as shown on plan resulting in omission of one soap dispenser. Revise soap dispenser locations as shown on plan resulting in the omission of three soap dispensers.
