RESOLUTION NO. 166-91

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING AND URGING THE
ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT TO EXPEDITE
REPAIR OF THE RETAINING WALL AT HIGHWAY 471
AND PROSPECT STREET, FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the retaining wall on the west right-of-way line of
North College Avenue (Highway 471) at the Prospect Street
intersection is in need of repair; and
WHEREAS, North College Avenue at the intersection of Prospect
Street is a heavy traffic thoroughfare; and
WHEREAS, citizen concern has been expressed; and
WHEREAS, the City serves to promote and protect the general
welfare of citizens of Fayetteville, Arkansas and of the general
public;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Board of Directors hereby requests and
urges the Arkansas State Highway Department to expedite repair of
the retaining wall on the west right-of-way line of North College
(Highway 471) at the Prospect Street intersection, Fayetteville,
Arkansas.

Fayetteville, Arkansas
Dear Charles:
I am forwarding herewith, a copy of a Resolution passed by our
City Board regarding the retaining wall at Highway 471 and Prospect
Street here in Fayetteville. I know that the Highway Department
is working on this problem but I wanted to make sure you knew how
Serious we consider this situation. Our main concern is the safety
factor and we hope that we can expedite the repair of this wall as
soon as possible.
As always, thank you for all the work you to for us and the
many courtesies you extend.
