FEE OF.15 CENTS PER MONTH TO WATER -CUSTOMERS
TO COMPLY WITHtTHE FEDERAL.SAFE DRINKING WATER
ACT (ACT 1053) EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1991.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Board of Directors hereby authorize
the "pass' through" fee of 150 per month to water customers to
comply with the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act, Act 1053 effective
July 1, 1991. A copy of the Act 1053 is attached hereto and made
a part hereof.

5 systems. Activities under this program include, but are not limited to,

1 the water system among its customers -in any manner that the water system
2 determines to be more equitable; provided, however, that no charge in
3 excess of fifteen cents ($0.15) per month per service shall be charged
4 for any entice through which water is provided to another community
5 public water system.
6 (c) The charge shall -be 'labeled' "FEE .fOR FEDERAL SAFE -DRINKING

1 are hereby repealed.

3 SECTION S. Emergency. It is hereby found and determined by the
4 Seventy -Eighth General Assembly that this act provides for the
5 'collection of certain fees based on the state's fiscal year; that for the
6 proper administration of this act, it should become effective on the
7 first day of the next fiscal year; that the beginning of the next fiscal
8 year is July i, 1991; and that if this emergency clause is not adopted
9 the effective date of this act may be after July -1, 1991. Therefore, an
10 emergency is hereby declared to exist and this act being necessary for
11 the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety shall
12 be in full force and effect from and after July 1, 1991.
