Staff recommends award of Bid #90-4 for the purchase of (6) six 5 -
Passenger, 4 -Door Police Pursuit Vehicles and (1) Service Manual
to Lewis Ford Sales, 3373 N. College, Fayetteville, Ar, 72702 the
lowest and only bidder responding to the bid. There were no
exceptions to the bid specifications as presented by the bidder.
The bid was formally advertised twice and mailed to seven different
vendors. (4) Ford Dealers and (3) Chevrolet Dealers. Chrysler and
GMC no longer offer a pursuit vehicle package.
The total amount of the bid is $87,474.00 for the 6 vehicles as
specified ($14,579.00 per vehicle), plus it will also be necessary

mileage that will either be recycled to less demanding service to
eliminate higher mileage and high maintenance vehicles, or sold.
Conferences with Randy Bradley, Gerald Bradley, Richard Watson, Bud

recommended award of this bid to assure that the City will maintain
the standard of vehicles that is necessary to continue to allow the
Motor Pool Operation to perform at top efficiency.

Program, Vehicles and Equipment, Project Title: Cars, Account #970-
