WHEREAS, the Arkansas Municipal League has presented a package of proposed legislation for the 1991 session of the Arkansas General Assembly; and WHEREAS, we feel these Bilis would contribute toward improved cities and towns in the State of Arkansas. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That we respectfully request our legislators to support the legislative program of the Arkansas Municipal League, which calls for: 1. An increase in General Turnback to approximately $21.50 per capita from the current approximate $19.00 per capita. 2. Clarification of the city and county local sales taxes whereby the tax would be collected on sales of items within the areas where the tax has been adopted regardless of where delivery actually takes place. 3 Legislation providing for the cost of transcripts from Civil Service Commission hearings to be borne by the party desiring to appeal the commission's decision. 4. Legislation authorizing managerial personnel of hotels, motels or restaurants to be eligible for service on city advertising and promotion commissions. 5. Legislation providing for a 50-50 allocation between court cost and fines on time payments. Section 2. A copy of this resolution shall be furnished to each member of the Arkansas General Assembly representing our municipality. .
