RESOLUTION NO.78 86
RESOLUTION TO REVISE
201 FACILITY PLAN
FOR WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT
SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS FOR
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
TO INCLUDE REHABILITION OF EXISTING EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas has completed
Facility Plan;
and
}
a 201
WHEREAS, the 201 Facility Plan was approved by the Arkansas Department
of Pollution Control and Ecology on May 31, 1984,
and
WHEREAS, preliminary evaluations reported in the Facility Plan
indicated that no improvements would be required for the scum and sludge
pumps, bar screens and appurtenances, vacuators and appurtenances and
gravity thickeners,
and
WHEREAS, the Contractor for the treatment plant, as a requirement of
the construction contract, has completed a detailed evaluation of these
components, the results of which indicate that major replacement and/or
rehabilitation is needed to render the units acceptable for long term use,
and
WHEREAS,both minor and major equipment failures have occurred with
each unit over the period of time since the 201 Facility Plan was
completed,
and
Whereas, a Technical
Engineer, dated June 27,
required improvements, and
and
Memorandum has been prepared
