A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING A. G.`EDWARDS & SONS,
INC. AS UNDERWRITER AND THE ROSE LAW FIRM AS BUND
COUNSEL FOR CITY OF FAYETTEVITT.F WATER AND SEWER
REFUNDING BONDS, SERIES 1985.
WHEREAS, A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. served as underwriter and
The Rose Law Firm served as bond counsel for City of Fayetteville
Sales and Use Tax Bonds, Series 1985 A and B, issued to finance improve-
ments to the City's sewer plant and system, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville has outstanding several million
dollars in previously issued water and sewerrevenue bonds, and
WHEREAS, at the request of the City, A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc.
has submitted a proposal for refunding said outstanding bonds;_. and
WHEREAS,`at the request of the City the Rose Law Firm has determined
that said outstanding bonds may legally be refunded; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires that A. G. Edwards &
Sons, Inc. and the Rose Law Firm proceed with preparation of documents
necessary to issue refunding bonds.
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF TBE
CITY OF FAYETTTLE, AMR/SAS:
That A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. is hereby designated as underwriter
and the Rose Law Firm is hereby designated as bond counsel for City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas Water and Sewer Refunding Bonds, Series
1985. All terms of said bonds, including interest rates and maturity
schedule, and all issuance expenses, including underwriter's discount
and legal fees, shall be subject to final approval of the Fayetteville
Board of Directors. If refunding bonds are not issued, the City of
Fayetteville shall not be liable to the underwriter or bond counsel
for any fees or expenses.
