A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT
OF EONALD L. GRIMES AS CITY MANAGER.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has received from Arthur Young
a Performance Audit of the City's Fire Department, Police Department,
Sanitation Department, Street Department, Traffic Department, Water
& Sewer Department, and Municipal Court; and
WHEREAS, said Performance Audit recommends that the City should
be reorganized, the concept of strategic planning should be developed,
programatic budgeting or a comparable alternative be developed, and
a City-wide safety program be developed; and
WHEREAS, said Performance Audit recoumends that the City Manager
should adopt strategic management in his leadership of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has authorized the City Manager
to take a; six month educational sabbatical with pay to familiarize
himself with strategic management techniques; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors desires for Donald L. Grimes
to return as City Manager upon completion of his six month educational
sabbatical.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 151E BDARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF F amai 3VILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Board of Directors hereby supports the continuedcmployment
of Donald L. Grimes as City Manager.
