Dear Mr. Rice:
155011!11-4750 72701
I am in receipt of a copy of a letter frau Mr. Bob Smith to Mr. Gripes
dated April 30, 1984, in which the Federal Aviation Administration
concurs in the city's reoontendation to award a contract to McClinton -
Anchor for ASP 3-05-0020-04.
Parag aph 2 of that letter states, "The grant agreement amount of
$622,150 less $13,500 for planning (total FAA share) is the total amount
of FAA funds available for this project", and concludes, there is
$609,250 available from the grant for federal participation. My records
do not agree with this and I have enclosed a summary of the -04 grant
activity to be reviewed by you.
The -04 project development has been amended to read.
"Reconstruct and extend west apron
(approximately 3800 square yards),
including stub taxiway and lighting;
extend east side parking apron
(approximately 450 feet by 570 feet),
including lighting; complete artless road;
construct runup apron (approx. 1900 s.y.)
and convert ANCLUC study to meet
Part 150 requirements."

It is my understanding that the City of Fayetteville has a balance
of $94,056 in FY 84 entitlement funds. We are requesting a grant
increase, at this time, of $55,204.61, to pay for the federal
share of grant amendments to construct a runup apron and convert
the pNCLJC study to meet Part 150 requirements. This grant increase
is necessary to construct the eastside/westside aprons including stub
taxiway and lighting project as was recently approved by your office.
We will appreciate your consideration of this request.
Sincerely yours,
tkr(Mrs.) Ede P.
