HomeMy WebLinkAbout71-84 RESOLUTIONRESOLUTION NO. 71-84 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FAYETTEVILLE 201 FACILITY PLAN TO AUTHORIZEJPHASING FOR CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CITY'S WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the Board of Directors hereby approves the amendment to the Fayetteville 201 Facility Plan attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof. Section 2. That all resolutions, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. PASSED AND APPROVED this 3_rd=>.day of July 1984. ATTEST': 1. ; j �? C aJC _ • (Acting) g{ { - �ti > " APPROVED: BY>Gde0 M Project'Phasing - Amendment to the Fayetteville, Arkansas 201 Facility Plan In order to reduce the time and cost of constructing the wastewater treatment facilities, the project will be con- structed in phases utilizing grant funds from fiscal years 1984, 1985 and 1986. The Contract Document will define the phased work to be conducted, and the contractor will be directed not to begin work on Phase 2 until the appropriate grant offer is made. The first phase work, utilizing the $7,900,000 FY84 grant, will consist of the following elements: Treatment Plant o Influent Lift Station o Primary Clarifiers o Administration Building o Annoxic/Oxic Basin o Secondary Clarifiers o Sludge Storage Reservoir o Effluent Storage Reservoir and Appurtenances o Recycle Portion of Effluent Pump Station o Special Foundation and Site Fill Sludge System o Land Purchase o Monitoring wells only Collection System o None A schedule for each construction contract is shown in Table 1. Cost Allocation The total wastewater program was divided into process element and the various costs allocated as shown in Tables 2, 3, and 4. The construction cost of elements to be included in the first phase, using FY84 grant money, and the engineering and administrative costs for construction divided by category to each program element is shown in Table 5.
