HomeMy WebLinkAbout5-84 RESOLUTION• • RESOLUTION NO. 5'- 84 1 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO TASK ORDER NO. 1 DATED JULY 20, 1983, UNDER THE CITY'S CONTRACT WITH CH2M HILL SOUTHEAST, INC. FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION OF IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CITY'S WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT TO DELETE VALUE ENGINEERING FROM THE WORK SCOPE AND TO AMEND THE WORK SCOPE AND COMPENSATION FOR SERVICES REQUIRED. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute Amendment No. 1 to Task Order No. 1 dated July 20, 1983, under the City's contract with CH2M Hill Southeast, Inc. for design and construction supervision of improvements to the City's wastewater treatment plant. A copy of said Amendment No. 1• is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof. PASSED AND APPROVED this 17th day of January, 1984. ATTEST: - r .44 APPROVED: By : 0)c 9, 2 Mayor ti AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 TO TASK ORDER NUMBER 1 DATED JULY 20, 1983 This amendment modifies Articles 1, 2 and 5 of Task Order Number 1 to delete value engineering from the work scope and to establish work scope and compensation for services now required but not currently described in Task Order Number 1. Article 1 In order to meet EPA and ADPC&E desire for a separate engineering firm to perform value engineering, the Engineer has worked with the Owner to accomplish this objective. Therefore, value engineering services are removed from the scope of services described in Task Order Number 1. In addition, services not currently included in the scope of services described in Task Order Number 1 have been re- quired. These services are more fully described in a letter dated December 23, 1983, from the Engineer but include services in the following areas: o Sludge Management System o Cooperative and Effluent Irrigation o City Protest of ADPC&E Funding Decision o Water Quality Standard Revision o Value Engineering o Existing Buried Lime Sludge The services have been provided beginning in September 1983 and should be completed by June 1984. Article 2 The compensation described in Task Order Number 1 shall not be reduced as a result of the deletion of value engineering from the work scope described in Article 1. The compensation for services described in Article 2 of this Amendment will be on the basis of payroll cost plus 125% plus direct project expenses not to exceed a total cost to the Owner of $26,000.
