RESOLUTION NO. 50-84
.A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CITY STAFF TO ATTEMPT
TO RENEGOTIATE THE. CITY'S CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE
WITH WARNER AMEX.
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville has granted Warner
Amex a nonexclusive, 15 -year cable television franchise;
and
WHEREAS, said franchise does not expire until 1990;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has determined that
said franchise agreement should be modified to insure that
cable television subscribers are receiving the best cable
television service possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the city staff is hereby directed to attempt to
renegotiate the City's cable television franchise with
Warner Amex so that cable television subscribers may
receive better cable television service.
