A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE -MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE A MODIFICATION OF THE CITY'S FIRE PROTEC-
TION'AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF GREENLAND.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute a modification of the City's fire protec-
tion agreement with the City of Greenland. A copy of the
modification authorized for execution hereby is attached
hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof.

MODIFICATION OF CONTRACT
This agreement made this '20th day of March
1984, by and between City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, herein-
after called "FAYETTEVILLE" and the City of Greenland,
hereinafter called "GREENLAND".
WHEREAS, the parties hereto have entered into a fire
protection contract dated August -20, 1981, which agreement,
as heretofore modified, isincorporated herein by reference
thereto; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to extend and modify said
contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties mutually agree as follows:
1. The aforesaid contractis hereby extended through
May 31, 1985; provided, Greenland may terminate said contract
at the end of any quarter (March 31, June 30, or september 30)
prior to the expiration date hereof (March 31; 1985) by
giving Fayetteville fifteen days advance written notice of
termination. }Said notice shall be sent to:

2. Paragraph 3 of said contract is modified by
adding the following paragraph to read as follows:
The annual fee for calendar year 1984 is
$28,429.00. For the five months in calendar year
1985, Greenland shall pay Fayetteville the sum of
$7,107.25 on or before January 1, 1985 and the sum
of $4,738.17 on or before. April 1, 1985.
3. All provisions of the contract are incorporated
herein and are hereby modified to conform herewith but in
all other respects are to be and shall continue in full
force.
