A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE;MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE WITH BURLINGTON NORTHERN RAILROAD COMPANY,
SUCCESSOR TO ST. LOUIS-SAN_FRANCISCO RAILROAD COMPANY,
AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY'S 1977 LEASE AGREEMENT FOR
PLANTER ISLANDS ON DICKSON STREET AND WEST AVENUE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute the amendment to lease agreement attached
hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of January, 1984.

-Burlington Northern Railroad Company, successor in interest to St.
Louis -San Francisco Railway Company issued Lease 19917 (FWD) to the City
of Fayetteville on June 14, 1977 covering three parcels of land to be
used for landscaping purposes shown colored yellow on the attached
print.
The railroad requires the 14' x 38' site and the 14' x 60 site lying
north of W. Dickson Street in connection with proposed commercial
development of its depot and freight house property.
This letter is intended to supplement Lease 19917 (FWD) to eliminate
land lying northof W. Dickson Street shown hatched red on the print.
The parcel lying south of W. Dickson Street will remain in effect until
such time as the lease is superceded and cancelled by proposed lease
with the City of Fayetteville for parking purposes.
Will you please sign your acceptance in the space provided and return
one copy for our records.
