A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM AND URGING CONGRESS TO EXTEND
SAID PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Federal Community Development Block Grant Program
has provided substantial benefits to low and moderate income residents
of the City of Fayetteville and other municipalities throughout the
United States; and
WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Board of Directors believes that the
Community Development Block Grant Ptogram,should be extended by Congress
for the benefit of low and moderate income residents in the United
States.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF FAYETT'EVIL E, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Board of Directors hereby expresses its
support of the Federal Community Development Block Grant Program.
Section 2. That the Board of Directors hereby urges the United
States Congress to extend the Community Development Block Grant Program.
